Has anyone on here with diabetes gotten pregnant this way?

A friend of mine with type 2 diabetes lost over 150 on a liquid diet (no surgery). She took herbal supplements from GNC for weight loss, drank liquid vitamins and minerals, efa (an other stuff that I can’t remember), exercised, and eats an extremely low carb diet. She is now pregnant, and has increased her caloric intake but only in the form of protein shakes. She’s extremely scared of eating to many calories for fear of gaining to much weight back. I told her to eat alot of salads, and protein in the form of beans. She said she’s going to the nutritionist next week. Is she wise to continue her extremely low-carb diet? Opinions please.

if she has diabetes she need to try and keep her carbs down as if she incresses them she is at risk of complication and may need to have insulin durning her preg protin shakes is not a good thing to be drinking durning her preg if she sticks to a healthy diet and be responable for what she is eating there shouldnt be to meny probs
