No essential oils really kill germs?
I'm trying to figure out if the transmission of essential oils will kill germs in the air (Such as cold viruses and influenza) and if you really can make an effective cleaner general purpose household use essential oils?
The answer is Yes Entomology Research Institute at Loyola College in Chennai, India conducted the research with 21 essential oils and 6 species of bacteria. The researchers found that cinnamon bark, clove and lime essential oils produced greater growth inhibition with cinnamon oil surpassing by one third to half. The bacteria used were Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteas vulgaris, Bacillus subtilis and auerus aureus. Cinnamon essential oil has been recently proved effective against both sensitive and resistant strains of Helicobacter pylori. Another study demonstrated the efficacy of cinnamon oil against oral infections of resistant strains and sensitive Candida species in HIV-infected patients. The EPA recognizes the effectiveness of essential oils! (Not to imply that the EPA is our protector) essential oils are becoming more and more mainstream. The news is that the product line is distinction of being the first and only disinfectants registered natural EPA approved to claim "kills more than 99.99 percent of germs on a natural hard, non porous and effective against common influenza A viruses (influenza or "flu") and related to the H1N1 strain, also known as "swine flu." The subsequent time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my option to learn, but I really thought youd have something interesting to say.
