Lavender essential oil for sunburns?
Hello, yesterday I got a severe sunburn (sun probably infection) in most of my legs, by the arms, shoulders, upper back and face. I've been looking for a great way to relieve pain safely and redness while helping to heal faster, I heard a bit of lavender essential oil, but not sure how to use it. Bare in mind that the burn is severe and covers a large part of my body, any help would much appreciated!
For a small area of the burn just add a few drops on the skin and massage gently. In your case, since it is a larger area is a good idea to cool the area down. I would suggest a warm bath or cold with 10 or more drops of lavender in it. Do not prepare in advance the bathroom the most volatile oil is lost.
