How Safe Are Your Vitamins?
The FDA has left the burden of proof on the vitamin manufacturers. The FDA guidelines also only require Good Manufacturing Practices for food. As a result, 70% of vitamins do not even contain what is on the label. Some even have toxic levels of some ingredients as well as some reports showing harmful substances such as lead!

They are mostly unnecessary anyhow. Unless recommended by your doctor for a specific reason.
Too much Vit C can give diarrhoea. One orange a day would provide enough. We need a small amount of C daily, it is water soluble, is not stored in the body and any excess is excreted.
Vit A in excess can damage eyes, D in excess can cause kidney damage and E in excess can cause
Muscle weakness, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, diarrhea ind increase the risk of bleeding.
Eat a good mixed diet, much better than any synthetic stuff.
