No rosemary essential oil and jojoba oil promote hair growth?
I have thinning hair on top of my head. I've heard the rosemary and jojoba oil promoting hair growth. 1) Is this true? 2) I have also heard that jojoba oil is a carrier oil. What does that mean? 3) How to mix the two i?
Yes, true, but depending on how much your hair is thinning, may or may not function as desired. Jojoba helps to loosen dry sebum and unclog hair follicles, allowing new growth, and Rosemary helps stimulate hair growth. jojoba is a carrier oil, which means it is a fixed oil, unlike the volatile oil of rosemary essential oil. Jojoba oil is stable (jojoba is literally a liquid wax, but because it is the consistency that still refer to it as an oil), where rosemary will evaporate quickly. Most oils you would use for cooking is considered carrier oils – fatty oils are thicker, some of which are common such as olive, almond and coconut. Combine oils essential carrier oils to make them easier to use. We can be diluted for use in larger areas, and the company keeps them from evaporating too fast. Mix one tablespoon of jojoba with a few drops of essential oil of rosemary. If you have a little bottle or airtight container, you can pre-mix enough to last time so you do not have to mix every day. I prefer to use the oil from the scalp at night .. I use a few drops at a time, apply directly to my scalp and massage in. Repeat until you feel like the entire scalp is covered. Jojoba oil is great, and a bit of reality goes a long way, so that while a few drops does not sound like much, it is. You are not looking to soak the scalp and hair, just apply a thin layer on the scalp. I leave at night and wash morning. If you have thick hair on the dry side may even be able to apply it in the morning.
